Jarrett Barrios has won many awards for distinguished public service - and for his accomplishments on behalf of people who need a strong advocate in state government.

 

The Service Employees Industrial Union (SEIU) honored him with the "Working Families Award" for his "outstanding service to the working families of Middlesex, Suffolk and Essex."

 

The son of a carpenter and a social worker, Jarrett worked three jobs to help pay his way through college.

 

He graduated with honors from Harvard University and earned his law degree with honors from Georgetown University.
